Evansville Dance Theatre is proud to introduce Lisa Stickelman Dillinger as the new Artistic Director of the Dance Theatre.
Lisa Stickelman Dillinger comes to Evansville from the Pacific Northwest Ballet where she taught for 19 years. Ms. Dillinger has been on the faculty at Chicago City Ballet School, Kansas City Ballet as principal instructor and Butler University. She was artistic director of Butler Ballet II and ballet mistress of Butler's Jordan College Academy of Dance. Ms. Dillinger has also been a guest teacher for Houston Ballet, Boston Ballet, Ballet Chicago, and Columbia City Ballet, as well as other studios throughout the United States.
Ms. Dillinger has studied with Maria Tallchief, Marjorie Tallchief, Todd Bolender, Lew Christensen, Harold Christensen and Tommy Rall and other notable instructors.
She received her training at San Francisco Ballet School as a Ford Foundation Scholarship student. She danced as an original member of Pacific Northwest Ballet’s company where she was a principal dancer under the direction of Janet Reed, Melissa Hayden, and the company under Kent Stowell & Francia Russell.
Ms. Dillinger will work with all area dancers and groups to help Build Dance In Evansville. Again this year, Evansville Dance Theatre is proud to present the Nutcracker in conjunction with the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra. This year dancers in the Nutcracker will come from not only Evansville Dance Theatre students but from open auditions for all children and dancers in the Tri-state area.
